I have to put in a number and it is uncertain for me why Is this a final cap or For my use this is really not a good solution. Now they seems to work more like requester chests. In the context of Factorio, buffers are usually comprised of chests between two stretches of belts, mostly used between furnaces and supply lines, so that even if your ore supply is intermittent (say, if you are getting it by trains), your factory will still get a steady flow of metal. ![]() sorta exactly wwhat im getting to, I don't use a sr latch at least I believe I don't, I just use a reset latch, it's much simpler, I just want it to reset not until empty but when nothing is happening. Hi Have the function of the buffer chest changed in the final release I used to have a lot of buffer chest that was working exellent in the way that I told them what they could contain and not any number. An expensive small 1x1 chest that can hold a near infinite amount of items (65530 slots3.3mil iron ores6.5 mil iron plates13mil steel plates). It looks like the standard SR latch setup you would use to hook up backup power generation to your solar power setup. ![]() Another problem is when you have a large perimeter defence, and you want it to be maintained by the construction robots. Chest may refer to: Wooden chest (Stores 16 stacks of items) Iron chest (Stores 32 stacks of items) Steel chest (Stores 48 stacks of items) Active provider chest (Stores 48 stacks of items. ![]() That's what I'm making out of the OP's post, as well. By using a buffer chest, you can setup a dedicated 'supply area', where the buffer chest will already contain all the typical items, and the bots can quickly top-up your inventory. Note that, unlike player or vehicle inventories, you cannot set a filter on any of the chests slots. You seem to be trying to use a set/reset latch to control the chests for some reason?
